CPAP has Changed my Life
Since being diagnosed with OSA just over 4 years ago, my life has changed hugely, and that change has been great! My new sleep patterns have now have developed into a wonderful and restful time. I wake up totally refreshed where previously I was running on empty, exhausted and felt like I needed more sleep. Nowadays, I actually enjoy the thought of going to bed at night. However, in talking with many other OSA sufferers at support meetings, it wasn’t all a bed of roses when we first started using this strange breathing apparatus. But with persistence and trust in the well researched equipment, OSA is not the big stigma in my life and others' lives anymore. My sleep apnea is well controlled and my CPAP equipment has been a great investment in my health.

Traveling with CPAP

My job entails a lot of international travel and I enter many different time zones. Sleep is essential for my well-being and I need to wake feeling refreshed every morning to be on the top of my game. Starting the day tired, especially when you need to concentrate on the meeting at hand, can be very embarrassing. Having OSA and traveling has not been the handicap that I thought it might be to my job. With the right power adapters, all of my CPAP equipment functions perfectly. I get the restful sleep that I need and wake feeling energized for the next day. Customs are quite used to seeing this type of equipment and I experience no problems taking it on board as cabin luggage, as per the manufacturer's recommendedations. I generally take with me a letter from my Doctor explaining that I suffer from OSA and require this equipment for my health, but to date I have not had to produce this. My CPAP therapy is a part of my life regardless of where I'm living!
